This talk describes the need to connect TLP to open, shared, modular ontologies to enable reasoning across industrial data sets in a cost effective and efficient manner. It uses as illustration work in the TI group in the Centre and explains how our annotation schema will connect with the work of the Industrial Ontology Foundry.
