General Manager - Asset Management at Roy Hill

With proven success implementing and transforming the asset management operating models for some of the world’s largest heavy industry/resources companies, I understand the importance of applying a risk-based approach to improving safety and operational performance. Critically, I have shown how asset management can be a value generator and enabler of a business’ two most important goals, safety and performance, bringing the function out of the ‘back line’ of operations to take a seat at the executive table. I hold a deep understanding of how proactive, world-leading asset management practices and considerations can be woven into the fabric of ‘how’ an organisation plans, operates and executes.

Building on an engineering background, I bring 15+ years’ experience across maintenance, supply, operations and strategy. I work together with the business to understand risks, challenges and pain points, distilling complex issues into practical insights. From here, I am able to guide organisations by crafting compelling narratives, strategies and solutions that resonate with key stakeholders and build credible partnerships, ultimately securing buy-in and propelling delivery of major change initiatives.

I have most recently demonstrated this with Vale Base Metals, developing an asset management strategy, operating model and transformation roadmap, which ultimately is reducing risk, building capability and improving operational performance. Working closely with the North Atlantic and Base Metals leadership teams, I have developed a platform for change, building credibility and establishing asset management as a key pillar to business success.
