Cleaning and visualization of unstructured text in safety records

Linked to the work completed by Theme 1 and unstructured text. A significant amount of rich information is locked in the difficult-to-process unstructured text both in maintenance and safety data. Textual descriptions are a vital component in capturing information on

events, whether they be and equipment breakdown, incident investigations and other safety/maintenance records. This paper focuses on safety records, however the techniques are also key to the work being completed for transforming maintenance.
